Quiet Luxury at Luttrellstown Castle
Philip and Trevor chose the divine Luttrellstown Castle in Co. Dublin to host their wonderful celebration. Their friends and family came from all over the world to celebrate with them on a sunny and surprisingly mild November day. This stunningly intimate wedding was shot and so beautifully framed by Christina Brosnan of Brosnan Photographic. She so accurately captured the warmth and love that just exuded from this wedding, while Aoife and Emily from Non-Fiction Love shot the entire day using Super 8 film (a type of film that shoots 24 miniature frames per second, creating a traditional silent film). The results are a deliciously nostalgic and emotive take on the day, just so wonderfully documenting the pure love between our gorgeous couple, Philip and Trevor.
The stationery was a pure joy to design, a colour palette of burgundy and neutral tones, with a hint of copper hot foil thrown in. Phillip and Trevor wanted to keep it feeling classic yet contemporary. We incorporated a custom illustration of Luttrellstown Castle, which was used throughout the stationery from the invite and envelope liner to the welcome sign and custom designed foiled menu sleeve that was delicately placed by yours truly at each place setting in the dining room. We designed a custom monogram of the couple’s initials, which was blind embossed on the envelope flap and also used for the day of stationery. So many considered and thoughtful details in this one.
As this couple had many wonderful friends travelling from overseas to be with them on the day, I designed a custom website to accompany the stationery, you can see it here (password is lastcolourdown). The website used the same design principals, typography and colour palette as the invitation suite, so the guest experience was seamless, from start to finish.
I know I’ve done my job successfully when the stationery is even mentioned in the speeches!
